Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
Originally, I majored in metal arts at the university of fine arts, and after completing graduate school, I continued my work while I was working. However, I felt that it was difficult to easily make large pieces such as objects like when I was a student, so I began to incorporate the concept and shape I wanted to express into jewelry and things to wear. around that time, I started exhibiting as my own jewelry brand. The brand name is my own name and it's a metal work that I make.
もともと美術大学で金属工芸を専攻しており、大学院修了後は就職をしつつも制作は続けていました。しかし学生の頃のようにオブジェなどのサイズの大きい作品を気軽に作る事が難しいと感じ、表現したいコンセプトや形をジュエリーや身につける物に落とし込むようになりました。そのころから自分のジュエリーブランドとして名前を付け出展を始めました。ブランド名は自分の名前で、自分が作る金属の作品です。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
My works are made by casting technique, and wax is the original for all works. the shape comes from nature. Real leaves are shaped with silicon, but sometimes they are made by hand with wax while observing the plant, or made with plaster as a prototype, which is then molded and replaced with wax. The wax is removed in the kiln and the metal dissolved in the cavity flows out. This technique can express really delicate expression. the finish is the matte look of the metal itself, and the convex parts and back surface are polished to shine.
鋳造の技法で制作を行っており、全ての作品はワックスが原型です。形は自然物から来ています。本物の葉などをシリコンで形を取る事もしますが、植物を観察しながらワックスで手作業で原型をつくったり、石膏を原型として作り、それを型取り、ワックスに置き換える事もあります。それを耐熱性の石膏で型取り、窯で脱蠟しその空洞に溶けた金属をながしています。この技法は本当に繊細な表情を表現出来ます。仕上げは、金属そのもののマットな表情を残し、凸部分や裏面を磨いて光らせています。

ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I was often told that my way of expressing myself was delicate and Japanese. ACJ told me when I was aware of overseas markets. I thought it was a good opportunity to see the reaction frankly in a sensitive place.
自分の表現方法が繊細で日本的であると言われることが良くありました。海外の市場を意識をしていたところお話を頂きました。感度の高い場所で率直に反応が見れる良い機会だと思いました。
Q4.Which One Is Your Favorite Piece? And Why?
イチオシはどの商品ですか？又その理由は？
I recommend earrings and brooches with delicate flower petals and leaf motifs, and i hope you like them. The delicate facial expression blends well with your skin, and the reflection from the fine movements attracts your eyes. the world map series that expresses the geographical features of a country is an interesting series among brands, but this time there are not many exhibitions in other places, so I would like you to take a look.
繊細な花びらや葉をモチーフにしたイアリングとブローチはおすすめでもあり、見て頂きたいです。繊細な表情は肌に馴染み、また細かく揺れる動きによる反射は目を魅きます。国の地形を表現した世界地図のシリーズはブランドの中でも面白いシリーズですが今回は別の場所で出展がありあまり持って行っていませんが、一見して頂きたいです。
