Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
Originally, I wanted to be a Tattoo Artist, but I wanted to create something that would be forever, so I started to aim to be a jewel designer, and I thought it would be interesting to express the design of the tattoo in jewelry, so I decided to establish this brand. The brand name is my favorite name. Akane is also a traditional Japanese color, indicating that it is a Japanese brand.
元々はタトゥーアーティストになりたかったのですが、半永久的に残り続けるものを作りたいと思いジュエリー職人を目指すようになり、タトゥーのデザインをジュエリーで表現できたら面白いなと思いブランド設立に至りました。ブランド名は大好きな自分の名前です。「茜」は日本の伝統色でもあるので、日本のブランドであることも暗に示しています。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Design data is created in CAD, and then stoned and polished by hand. Depending on the item, all processes are done by hand.
CADでデザインデータを作成し、その後手作業で石留めや磨きを行っていきます。アイテムによっては全ての工程を手作業で行います。
Q3. What Made You Interested In NY Market?
ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I wanted many people to know that "there is a Jewelry brand like this in Japan." in New York, where people from different regions gather.
様々な土地の人々が集まるニューヨークで、「日本にはこんなジュエリーブランドがあるんだ」ということを多くの方に知ってもらいたかったためです。
Q4.Which One Is Your Favorite Piece? And Why?
イチオシはどの商品ですか？又その理由は？
My recommendation is hoop earrings with lettering on the side in the image of a retailing tattoo. Since the shape of the letters is cut out from the metal as it is, it is recommended that the emphasis of the letters is clearer than the machine-engraved type. Japanese artists and athletes also wear it.
レタリングタトゥーをイメージした、側面に文字入れを施したフープピアスです。文字の形をそのまま金属から抜いているため、機械で彫るタイプの刻印よりも文字の主張がはっきりとしている点がおすすめです。日本のアーティストやスポーツ選手の方にも着用いただいています。
