ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
The inspiration to start creating smartphone shoulder bags came when the smartphone shoulder trend swept through Japan, and I found myself yearning for one. Failing to come across a shoulder bag that truly resonated with my desires, I thought, "Why not make one myself?" With that determination, I embarked on the journey of crafting smartphone shoulder bags. Gradually, as more friends and acquaintances embraced and used them, I have now become a purveyor of shoulder bags, bringing joy to a diverse array of individuals. The name "AMIITO" is derived from the Japanese phrase "編む糸 (amu-ito)," meaning "knitting yarn," simplified for easy reading. It symbolizes my aspiration to connect with numerous people through knitting and deliver smiles to their faces.
スマホショルダーを作り始めたきっかけは、日本にスマホショルダーブームがやってきて、私自身がスマホショルダーが欲しかったからです。なかなか心から欲しいと思うショルダーと出会うことができなかった私は、そうだ！自分で作ればいい！そう思い立ち、作り始めました。次第に、友達、知り合いと使ってくれる方が増え、今ではショルダー屋さんとして沢山の方に喜んでいただける様になりました。AMIITOの意味は、日本語で”編む糸(amuito)”を読みやすく文字ったものです。編み物でたくさんの方と繋がり、笑顔を届けることが出来るように…。そんな願いを込めています。

商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
The cord utilized is known as paracord, short for parachute cord. Paracord is lightweight, water-resistant, and incredibly robust. With this cord, each piece is meticulously handwoven. Prior to weaving, careful consideration is given to design and color, ensuring a harmonious balance throughout the process. While weaving, adjustments are made, occasionally adding or subtracting colors to achieve the distinctive AMIITO touch in the final piece.
使用しているコードは、パラコード(本名、パラシュートコード)です。パラコードは軽量で水にも強く、とても強度の強いコードです。このコードを使って、ひとつひとつの手編みで編み上げています。予めデザインやカラーを考えて編み、編みながらバランスを見て、時には色を足したり引いたりして、AMIITOらしい作品に仕上げています。

ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
With diverse dreams and aspirations, people from around the world gather in New York—a city where lifestyles and beliefs vary widely. As a trailblazer in international expansion, I am curious to see how my creations will be received in the melting pot of New York, where individuals of different races with distinct lifestyles and religions coexist. Through this POPUP event, I aim to gain genuine feedback on my work, hoping to spark interesting ideas and forge valuable business connections.
